The band have played their first live gigs in the UK, these have been received extremely well. One review describing the band as an "angrier Goth Manic Street Preachers."[3], purely for the power of their live performance. The band made their mainland European debut playing The Judgement Day festival in Austria. Again this was very well received , being likened to Placebo in one review. GIG have already played The Whitby Gothic Weekend festival, being on the same night as The excellent Eden House, again receiving an extremely positive and enthusiastic reception from the crowd. Including the GIG following “The Green Army”.

This was highlighted by the appearance on stage of Rosie Lugosi, March Violets singing their classic hit "Grooving In Green", the song that gave the band its name. This was greatly received, the band have continued steadily growing in popularity.
